Fromm Adult Gold Food for Dogs
Fromm Gold Nutritionals Adult Dry Dog Food is a specially prepared, holistic blend of fresh Wisconsin duck, hand-trimmed chicken, low-ash lamb and Menhaden fish meal (hormone and medication-free), whole eggs, real Wisconsin cheddar cheese, along with produce that is delivered fresh, never dried or pre-processed. This all-life stage formula omits common allergens such as corn, wheat and beet pulp, instead uses oatmeal, pearled barley, brown rice and potatoes. Vegetable and fish oils are included to balance omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids for optimum health, plus Fromm's own blend of prebiotics and probiotics to aid digestion and real chicken cartilage for rich, natural glucosamine.
Instead of baking their dry recipes, which can damage nutrients with high temperatures, Fromm uses a low-temperature, high-moisture extrusion process that assures that all starch is thoroughly cooked and that no damage occurs to the proteins. Fromm schedules their production around the delivery of their fresh ingredients. Their recipes contain only USDA-inspected ingredients prepared at USDA-inspected plants in the Midwest, including their own dry food and treat plant. Every delivery of raw ingredients is thoroughly inspected by their team of quality control experts.
Since 1904, the Fromm Family of Wisconsin has maintained a tradition of quiet innovation dedicated to the health and nutrition of animals. In the 1930's, the Fromm Family introduced the first canine distemper vaccine. In 1949, they introduced the concept of premium pet food to the public. President and head chef, Tom Nieman, is a 4th generation family member and was the understudy of the late Dr. Willard Roberts, PhD. Recognized as the father of modern pet foods, Dr. Roberts pioneered the process of producing the dry, granular food that is so popular today. As the country's first and oldest premium pet food company, Fromm has earned the reputation as an industry leader, producing only the highest grade pet foods with the finest natural ingredients.

The following are general feeding recommendations. Many factors including age, breed, activity level, and individual metabolism contribute to the need for adjusting portion sizes. Two to four times more food may be required for puppies, gestating dogs, and nursing dogs. Spayed or neutered dogs may require up to 25% less food.
The following chart provides a good place to start, but determining the correct amount of food for your pet depends upon your evaluation of your pet's overall performance on the amount of food consumed along with any treats given.
