All packages we ship to our customers are insured. A tracking number for your package will be emailed to you upon shipment of your order. Please check your email for the tracking number. When you receive your order, please check the package for damages. If there is damage, notify us immediately. We will have it picked up, and a new order will be shipped. We do not refund money due to damage caused during shipping, you will receive a replacement order.
Hearty Pet does not "up charge" for shipping. We pull our rates directly from the Fedex Rates web service to offer you no nonsense rates. Many online retailers charge a flat rate or an up charged rate, but Hearty Pet wants to be fair across the board. A flat rate may seem great to one shopper who is buying two 30 lbs bags of food, but for the shopper buying one 6 lb bag the rate is not great at all. Basically these shipping methods try to spread the cost across all shoppers, but it just is not fair for everyone.
To check your total shipping costs PRIOR to checkout, simply click the "Get Estimates" button on the cart review page. Next, if you are not logged in you will be asked for your zip code. You will now see your total shipping costs based on Fedex Residential Home Delivery. During your checkout, you will have the choice to choose one of the premium shipping options (overnight, 2nd day, etc). It's that simple. No registration or forms to fill out just to find out how much shipping will be! In addition, you can always go to www.fedex.com to calculate your actual shipping costs for any of the offered services.
Others may say "Fast Shipping", but at Hearty Pet, we deliver!! Orders received on weekends or holidays will be shipped on the next business day. For estimated delivery times, please refer to transit map below. Bottom line is, your product will leave our climate controlled warehouse very quickly and get to you much faster than many other online stores.
When thinking of shipping and total costs, always always look at the total picture. Some sites offer great product prices, but when you compare apples to apples you will see they up charge their shipping and you will end up paying more in most cases. Hearty Pet strives to offer fair product prices and shipping costs for the best bottom line price. On the "Review Cart" step of the checkout, if you do a shipping estimate you will see a Grand Total, this is your bottom line Total that will be charged to your credit card at the end of the process (unless you decide to select a shipping method other than Residential Ground Delivery). No hidden fees along the way!
NOTE: Please verify that shipping address is correct at the time of the order. Fedex charges $11.00 for any address correction and this charge will be applied to the purchaser's credit card when notified by Fedex, usually within one week after shipping.
