I really want my cat to like this food because of the good ingredients and high protein (45%) but he doesn't. He just smells it and walks away every time. This cat food smells pretty fishy. I guess my cat doesn't like fish at all. If your cat like fish, this one can be a good choice.

My 2 did not like this. Too much fat for indoor cats, too much protein as well. What about indoor cats??? Too much fish; it's HIGH fish; it even smells STRONG... knock you over; fish breath too! :( My local cat food store owner does not like core as well as some others.. look around. The ASH is VERY high w/ this food too 10-11%. There is a grain free called Surf N Turf, from FROMM four star foods, that is only 6.5% ; much better ingredients than wellness and NEVER a recall... Much more mild flavor and my cats love it much more than CORE. I was not happy over all, and now after 2 wet recalls in 2 months, and the buy out of Well pet (along with their old comp Eagle Pack foods) by Berwind Corp (makers of Elmer's glue) I just do not trust wellness

Wellness is worth the extra cost in comparison to other brands. CORE is hard to find in pet stores. Great for older cats as the pieces are small. The best quality in dry food.

Since this is new for my older cat and kitten, I am mixing it with their other brand. They both seem to enjoy it. I love your renewal program and the shipping is inexpensive. I chose the longer term, as I do not know how much they will be eating. My husband left the bag opened and it did stink up the room - must be some good stuff in there!

Check out this website which nutritionally compares/contrast many brands of pet food: http://www.petfoodratings.net/cattable.html Here you will see Wellness Core Cat & Kitten being given the highest rating- it's one of only 4 or 5 top-quality catfoods to receive this highest rating. I buy the 12 lb. bag, & the packaging is convenient for humans- comes in an easy to keep fresh & clean, airtight/lightproof/heavyweight plastic bag, with a "ziplock" closure top. I pour a week's supply into a large, clear acrylic, airtight canister. Our 2 cats absolutely LUV this food- I interchange it w/ Innova Evo Cat & Kitten (another very high caliber catfood, less costly). We have very healthy, happy cats!

My cat enjoys excellent health thanks to Wellness Core. An added benefit: it comes as round nuggets so there is less waste from small edges falling out of his mouth as he eats. The rather high price is worth it!

Although it can stink up a room, my 5 cats LOVE Wellness Core. My littlest one seems to have a "smelly butt" problem which goes away only when he's fed the Core cat food. The food is on the pricey side, but well worth it considering the litter boxes have a LOT less odor now!!

Our cats liked this food, and didn't even eat the amount suggested to help reduce weight. However, after nearly 6 weeks neither have lost any weight at all, plus neither are over thrilled with the food anymore. I'm staying with Wellness, but switching today to the Healthy Weight formula. Of course a fresh bag always makes them want to tear into it, the smell is much stronger when fresh. I hope they both like this and start to show some weight loss within the next couple of months.
