I want to add that when feeding Purina, the dogs were so disinterested that they'd walk away from the dish (kibble mixed with a can of Purnia wet)b and occasioinally just go to their beds rather than eat; Purina also gave them bad gas. With Wellness, they are WILDLY HAPPY for feeding time, twirling and barking, jumping up, smiling, tumbling over each other in their rush to their bowls, then doing the wandering to the others' bowls to see if anyone has overlooked a kibble. They lick their plates clean and follow these clean dishes to the dishwasher trying to get a last sniff.

We have a Cocker, Vizsla and German Shorthair. The two bigger dogs were always bored by eating Purina dry and wet (recommended by our vet). (Adopted Cocker was apparently being fed Ol Roy by previous owners). We tried Merrick dry but the bags were very inconsistent...some bags were full of dehydrated fruits and vegetables and others weren't. It also dawned on us that all three dogs had terrible gas with Merrick. In switching to Core Wellness, the dogs' stools are perfect. They are regular. They LOVE this food. I use the kibble as a treat which they take over real meat. There is no grain or filler in this food and the gas has disappeared and their coats are marvelous. They all start barking and circling the kitchen at 5, waiting for this food. In fact, Socks the German Shorthair jumped almost 3 feet straight up to get on the kitchen counter and get at that bag. Because of the calorie density with Core is a bit higher than our previous foods, we are able to feed less and easily maintain all the dogs' ideal weights, so despite being expensive, it lasts longer. We add a can of salt-free green beans to their kibble as part of weight-maintenance.
