My dog suffers from IBD and pancreatitis. The IBD has been so severe I almost lost him twice this year. Since transitioning him to this food (along with medications) he is back to himself finally. Now my 7 year old Lab is driving me around the bend with his energy and I am loving every minute of it. He cannot tolerate any other food and this has saved his life.

This food is excellent! It passes so many tests. First of all, my dog has a very sensitive stomach and she will refuse to eat or throw up most other foods. This is one of the only foods she can keep down. Secondly, my dog sheds A LOT, especially in the summer. This food really does reduce her shedding and make her fur healthier. Ocassionally we try out a different food, but we always come back to this one because she will either reject the other food or she will start shedding again profusely. With this food, after about 2 weeks of consumption her shedding decreases significantly. Finally, my dog does have eye tearing stains almost consistently when she is on any other dog food. After about 2 weeks on this dog food, they go away. I was surprised that a food could do that. It even works during the spring when her eye are very runny. The only thing to be aware of is that the food smells very strongly of fish. So if you are ordering it, make sure you have a sturdy container (trashcan would be best) to store it in that won't let the smells out!

Great Food! Has improved my lab's overall coat and skin tremendously. I originally fed him another premium food, but it was no longer available in my city, so this was recommended by the breeder. Other "premium" foods were leaving his hair dry and coarse. Not to mention increased shedding( if that is possible with a lab!) Improvements seen within a week. Only drawback is the smell is a little strong -like a bag of fish oil. I keep it in a sealed container in the house though with no problem. The dog thinks it is great!!

My Berner loves it, and it keeps his coat shining. It came highly recommended from the breeder, and I can only say that there has only been positives...

We're still on our first round, but she LOVES this food. She's had difficulty with her stomach for 6 months and no food the vet has given her has worked. We've spent about 3k in vet bills and hundreds in trying food. we think we've finally found one that she enjoys and works for her.

Love it! Has very high omega 6 and omega 3 fatty acids for fantastic skin and coat.No chemical preservatives. No hormones. No antibiotics. No soy, corn, or wheat. No Menadione (synthetic k3). Has complex carbs to maintain energy. Stops obsessive itching. Relieves skin rashs. No worries with whether a dog will eat it... the menhaden fish is one of the most pungent smelling cold water fish out there. Which although it sucks for our noses, dogs love the taste of it. This food is extremely palatable. I give it an A++

This food is terrific. My 10 year old dog began having stomach problems - something like allergies - with other expensive food products. Cooking her food solved the problem, but took a great deal of time, so I put her on VeRUS Menhaden Fish Meal - her stomach cleared up immediately. Great food and worth the price.

My 14 year old chihuahua has been eating this food for the last several years. He no longer has any skin issues and has a beautiful, full coat of fur. I also think the food has helped calm any arthritis issues he has. It is wonderful to see him run when I call him for dinner. He seems to really like the taste of the food. He is thriving on this food. I would never choose to change his food from VeRUS Advanced Opticoat.
