I wanted my 2 to love love love this food. It's one of the best out there! So did my breeder and a friend and fellow double silver persian owner.. but.. we all had the same problem... too mushy! Got all over their faces, Lilly would eat it, Teddy would not touch it. Does not help them if they won't eat it; or the one that will eat it messes up her white fur! Can't have stains on cat fur when showing, even if not, it's STICKY like baby food, so it's not like a dog where you could wipe a mouth! It's STUCK in their fur. :( I really wanted so badly to love this food; just not for our household of silvers.. my breeder said the same thing after he tried it... I gave it 4 stars even though we never bought any more due to the healthy ingredients, and family owned company, and caring small company. However, it's not for all cats. I see this more for DOGS, they don't care about eating mushy food, or their owners as much about a mess they can wipe off. However, if you have a show dog like I have show cats w/ longer hair.. be ware.. I even tried mixing it w/ very little water, so it was thicker, to no avail.... just not for our household... but still a good food overall... TRY before you buy! The company will mail a free sample.

The food is good food and I was a vet asst. so I can say that with authority. The problem is that I have only two cats out of seven that will eat it. The food can have great ingredients but if the cats won't eat it...its not much good is it?

This is a wonderful product made by a wonderful company. I contacted Honest Kitchen initially to ask a few questions. They answered my questions promptly, and sent me some samples of Prowl to make sure my cats liked it before I purchased it. I transitioned my cats slowly to this diet. At first my fussiest eater wasn't so sure about it...but now he loves it too. Their coats are shining, their digestion is much improved and the skin problems of my most allergic cat have gone away. I'm really glad I found this product.

Like soup when warm, thicker when refrigerated, all 8 of my cats enjoy Prowl, though one had to be introduced to it very slowly a little at a time. I feed it to them slightly warm mixed in with other canned food. I highly recommend this food.

When you contact the company, they actually answer your email. Sadly, that is not a common practice today, but THK holds true to what consumers need, questions answered. This seems to be a really good product. But don't rush a cat into eating it. I had one pounce on each dish, then another followed, my third cat is still developing a taste for it and my fourth is slower still. Just as a human needs to aquire a taste for healthy foods, cats who are used to kibble and kitty versions of fast food, need some cats need time to adjust. Make small portions for as long as it takes to win them over. It will happen!

My cat loves this amazing food. When it's rehydrated you can see the vegetable and meat bits. It smells almost like people food, not like regular cat food usually smells (gross). Keep it coming!

My cat loves it! He practically swarms all over me for it, and will not wait for the hydration of 10 min. He just chews more when he gets to some of the vegetables that are still on the dry side. He sometimes leaves a bit, but gobbles it down a little later, offered cold right out of the refrigerator.
