I read a lot of good reviews about this dry cat food. I bought a 6.6 lbs bag to let my cat to try it with great expectation but he doesn't like it (not a bite). Also, this dry cat food seems to have too much ashes compare to other dry cat foods. If you want to try this, get a smallest bag first.

I've been "EVO"lving over the years with my choice of cat food. I went from Science Diet to Nutro but found my cat still craved table scraps. I figured it was the protein content and I was right. My cat loves this stuff and does real well. He is an older cat so it's the least I can do for him.

WAY too high ASH (11%), WAY to high protein and fat .. especially for my indoor cats. They gain weight on foods like this. I won't buy EVO any longer due to this and the buy out by Procter and Gamble! :( (Iams/Eukanuba) GROSS!!!!! My 2 did not even finish 1 bag... they did not like it and the loose stools, etc.. were too much!

Reduced blood sugar in a borderline diabetic cat. Avoided need for insulin. Cat is now healthy, happy and active, and her coat has improved dramatically. I'd recommend this to anyone concerned about the continuing health of their cat!

I have 2 Bengals with delicate stomachs, they love this cat food and if I can resist giving them too many treats, their stomach problems are non-existent. Neither are fond of the soft, but gobble up the dry - Thanks

My cat did eat it but she preferred California Natural Chicken and Brown Rice. I really appreciate the "sample" option Hearty Pet provides. Thank you!

Cats and ferrets are obligate carnivores and this food is a perfect fit for both species. I love all the EVO Cat/Kitten products and feed both the dry chicken/turkey and the canned 95% meat chicken/turkey. I was really impressed with the courteous and helpful way my order was taken, the speed of processing my order, and the condition in which my order arrived. I ordered two cases of the canned 95% meat chicken/turkey and two large bags of the EVO dry and it was packed to arrive together and to minimize breakdown of the product. The dry food was in whole pieces, not broken or crushed:)

Evo is the best food that I've found on the market. It is the only food I will ever feed my 3 cats plus they love it. They will not eat anything else. Purchasing it @ heartypet is great b/c it's cheaper, convient, and arrives fast. Purchase it you wont regret it!

CONTAINS FISH - I have fed this for years and it's a great food. My 2 new cats, however, are allergic to fish, and they react with multiple bouts of extremely foul smelling diarrhea every time they eat it. This food contains fish (herring meal), so if your kitties are allergic to fish, or have unexplained digestive issues, be aware that fish might be the problem.

I guess it's okay. We have 6 cats...2 older Persians and 4 younger exotic shorthairs. I've had it down in their bowl for a week now, and haven't seen any of them eating it yet. I was hoping they'd like it!! You never know about cats' tastes!

I wanted to switch my five feline friends to a higher protein diet for their health, but what I didn't count on was how much they love it. Plus, since this is a nutritionally dense food, you feed them less, which actually makes this a lot more economical food than it appears. And no puking kitties!

My 4 cats love this! I have a 15 year old who was constantly vomiting and a 1 year old that had seriously loose stools. After only a few days the stools were firm and I haven't seen or heard any vomiting. I did an experiment with 4 recommended foods and this one won paws down (they wouldn't even touch the other food after they had this and would wake me up, begging for their EVO). All 4 come running now when they hear me pour the food. It is soooo worth it! And after almost a month, I have seen a huge increase in their energy, especially that of my two 15 year olds, and everyone comments on the softness of their fur. May seem expensive but well worth it in the long run.

I have been looking for a cat food that is truly healthy for my cats, natural ingredients and lots of protein without lots of fillers. My cats really like this food! They did not have any trouble diving right in, and they get excited when I put it in their dish. (They have always had healthy food, but they really like this one!)

I've done several feeding trials with different foods including prescription cat foods. Innova EVO Cat & Kitten is the only food that my cat has been able to eat without vomiting. I've been feeding it to her for 5 years now with great success! At first, I was concerned about the new formula, but it's been a month now. So far, no problems at all.

Expensive but worth the extra cost because product successfully manages my older cat's longstanding IBD when medicinal methods and other diet choices did not help. This kitty is so much healthier by eating only grain-free canned venison and lamb along with Evo dry. While no dry kibble is truly "low carb enough" for cats, this product is very low compared to what's available. Evo is the only dry food my geriatric cat with diabetes is allowed to snack between her regulated low carb canned feedings. So far, the low carb canned/Evo dry diet has lowered her bg levels to acceptable levels. I've tried too many cat foods to count over the years...this one has been the best!

My cats will usually eat anything that is poultry or fish flavored, but this seems to be one of their favorites. Other brands selling grain-free poultry flavored food (Before Grain, Nature's Variety Instinct) have gotten tepid receptions at best, but they seem to be pretty excited about eating EVO.

LOL Ancestral diet my eye&#33 potatoes, apples, cottage cheese, carrots, tomatoes?&#33 Come on... these are not good for cats. Cats are obligate carnivores, that means meat meat meat, not fruits and veggies that are good for humans. puleese&#33

For some reason my cat loved the 95% meat versions of the EVO canned cat food line but wouldn&#39t touch the Cat &#38 Kitten formula??? But now that Carrageenan is a highly suspected carcinogen, I won&#39t be buying the 95% meat ones either.

I bought this for an older cat with IBD. She needs to eat grain free if at all possible but I had a terrible time finding something she liked until EVO. I have a buffet style feeding system in my utility room for my 8 cats ranging from two kinds of Science Diet, 2 kinds of fancy feast,Fromm, and Evo. At pressent 3 will eat nothing but EVO and I saw a 4th one coverting over last week. I am hoping I can get them all converted eventually because grain free is the only way to go especially as they get older.

I have such a sensitive tummy that my human tried giving me several different types of dry food before we found EVO. I used to toss my kitty cookies a few times per week and my human was constantly deep cleaning her carpets. Not anymore. After eating EVO for a couple of weeks, I stopped getting sick and my human is just as happy as me. I love my EVO.

I have a cat who developed an eosinophilic granuloma in her mouth which had to be surgically removed when she was less than one year old. These can develop due to allergies and it turned out that once I changed her food, which was a good pet store pet food, to Innova Evo, the whole problem cleared up and she never developed it again. She also had some other chronic allergy symptoms like stuffy nose and sneezing which have cleared up nearly 100%. I'll never feed her anything else. I have another cat who had no problem with the other food but he benefits from this food too. Plus, they love it.

Katie - thanks for the valuable information, i've been looking for a cat food to deal with some issues my cats have been experiencing such as what you have mentioned, the flaky skin, coarse hair. They haven't been too happy with the foods they are currently on but i'm going to give this product a try. I'm crossing my fingers! Thanks again.

I work in a medical office and was talking to one of my patients that had told me of this product. My cats have had problems with flaky skin, course hair, etc. I had tried several different vet recommended foods and nothing made a difference. I have to say that after only a week, there is a remarkable difference in my babies. Their hair is so soft and the flakes are almost gone. As far as the taste; evidently it is wonderful. They start begging as soon as I get home. I've never seen them clean thier bowls this good. I am sold. It's a little pricey, but my babies are worth it.

I started eating EVO about 2 years ago and my coat is nice and shiny, my energy level is up. Some EVO was put out to see if I would eat a dry food, and from that time on I would eat nothing else. I love my EVO! No more 1 or 2 day old cans of cold food for me.
