Orijen Adult Dog Food is now an 80/20 formula! Meaning that 80% of each bag is meat and 20% is other essential ingredients. Orijen has still kept all their core concepts of Grain free, high quality natural ingredients and only using free range proteins. This new formula is an overall improvement to the old (70/30) formula. The first 5 ingredients are now fresh (never frozen) meats, perfect proportions of nutrients and the over-all taste and digestibility is improved.

Orijen products are made in small batches from ingredients that are natural and about half of the ingredients arrive fresh each day. Orijen does not use chemical preservatives or artificial coloring. The amount of fresh meat that is used, give the kibble a unique shape, smell and color. There are added protein sources to each formula to give more taste and nutrients to the formulas. Fresh meats are low in calcium and phosphorus, which helps make each formula balanced.

My dogs have been raised on this. My dogs' breeder uses this and our dogs love it. My cat even started to eat it, so I switched to Origen cat food. We need to feed less of Origen than we did of the previous high quality food we used with our last dogs, so it isn't really too expensive.

To be honest I cannot understand the love affair with this stuff. My dogs can literally eat anything without getting loose or gassy. I gave it plenty of time and then returned it. Apparantly I am not the only one that has had problems. I suppose one reason for the positive reviews is that after spending so much money on food, most people won't admit it is a bad product.

This food is the best I've ever come across! My dog and I both love it. I mixed his old food with Orijen to ease him into the new food and he just spit out the old food. He told me what he likes! As a vegetarian I also love that it is all free-range, sustainable resources. Also that it is human-grade meats and vegetables, because my dog is my son and a member of my family and deserves food as quality as my own.

I mixed my German Shorthaired Pointers old food with the Orijen for the transitional period. He learned quickly to sort the old dry food out of the way in his dish and just eat the Orijen. Smart dog and great food. He loves it!

Expensive dog food but you'll understand why it's more expensive after reading the ingredients. I'm amazed what is in the dog food. My German Shepherd loves it and I haven't had any problems with her digestion. Her coat looks amazing and I can tell that her overall health has improved with this product. I highly recommend this dog food and think it's worth spending the extra $ instead of $$$ at the vet for feeding cheap food.
