This food is miraculous! Like all the other positive reviews we are thrilled: our little fatty 9 yr. Maltese would not lose weight, no matter what we tried; all the vet diets, etc. he was having severe joint problems w/dislocations. In just a short time he is improving, moving well & behaving like a happy puppy! He loves the food & treats & we now love Canidae! So does our vet!

I have 3 small dogs and was feeding them Canidae All Life Stages Formula. I decided to switch the to Canidae Platinum so I can keep their weight at a healthy level. There was no problem switching them. They just gobble it up!

Our dog, Diesel, had surgery in June for a torn ACL. We switched him to Canidae Platinum because of the Glucosamine and Chondroitin ingredients. He LOVES it and we had no problems switching him over. AWESOME PRODUCT&#33

I started feeding this food after I started doing research about pet food. I have had 2 dogs die of liver related illness--I fed them what I thought was good food their whole lives. They were elederly but I thought it strange that both died of liver disease. I was so heartbroken over the death of my last dog that I decided when I adopted a 9yr old golden retriever I would try to do better. (when you know better you can do better) Took about 3-4 months but one day I looked down and noticed that the dog's coat had filled out so beautifully. No more flakes from dry skin, and bad breath improved. This dog came to me from rescue with his own type of baggage--really bad arthritis. The first few months I had him, we were at the vet every other week. At one point the vet told me his arthritis was so bad that they thought he would always have a limp. No limping dog now!! I worry that all his bouncing around when he gets excited is going to re-injure something, but I sure do love to see that he can walk without pain. He takes Deramaxx every other day, but other than that he takes a glucosamine supplement and Canidae Senior which has the glucosamine and chondroitin in it. There are really good dog foods out there and really bad. I highly suggest you do your own research, it may shock you what you are feeding your dog. But in the end Canidae is for me and I reccommend it all the dog people I know.

Ooops.... forgot to mention something so important! Dogs have definitely lost weight and unlike some of the other reviewers' comments, I do not notice ANY doggy odor ... none at all. Great product!!! Great company too! Thanks Hearty Pet!!

I have three dogs: a VERY Senior Beagle; an Almost Senior Chihuahua and a Middle Aged Italian Greyhound. I adopted my I.G. from IGCA and the Rep. highly recommended Canidae, which she feeds to ALL of her Iggies. Since my dogs are definitely overweight and ever since the pet food scare, we have been purchasing Canidae Senior and Overweight Formula, and they seem to love it. We have noticed that our dogs' fur has softened and looks shiny and that all 3 of them have so much more energy. My 15-year old Beagle was having difficulty jumping onto the sofa, but now he does so much better! My little Chi RUNS all around the house, and we NEVER saw her do that before...lol. But the best part is that when we buy from heartypet.com, we only have to wait one or two days until it arrives. Canidae is a WINNER and I wholeheartedly recommend it.
