Celebrating Earth Day

What has Hearty Pet contributed for helping the earth and our environment? Hearty Pet is happy to work in an earth friendly facility. We have installed programmable thermostats which are better for the environment – uses less energy and helps reduce greenhouse emissions. Our warehouse has taken efforts on reusing all boxes received from inbound shipments where appropriate, we package all items with recycled paper, we recycle all ink cartridges, and we use a paperless system where appropriate.

1. Use appliances marked with the “Energy Star” logo – uses less energy, plus saves you money.
2. Recycle purchases – old cell phones, computers (after data has been removed)
3. Use rechargeable batteries
4. Recycle ink and toner cartridge
5. Plant a Tree – trees produce oxygen and cool the air
6. Turn off lights when leaving a room
7. Don’t throw your clothes away – if your clothes are in good shape, donate to a local organization in your area or consider having a yard sale.
8. Reuse shopping bags as trash can liners
9. Leaky Faucets and Toilets – fix leaks immediately; a leaky toliet can waste an estimated 200 gallons of water per day.
10.  Seal windows and doors – keep your heating bill down and save on energy costs.
