I have used ACV (Braggs organic with “mother”) (shake well before use) for a number of things for my dogs.
It has great antifungal and antibacterial properties. (I have even heard it works for a dog that was sprayed by a skunk).
1 Tbsp in one meal with water added or split it 1 ½ tspn in am and pm meal for the following:
To control yeast (from ear issues to skin issues)
For dry flaky skin (like dandruff) (usually clears up in about 2 weeks)
For dry, itchy or infected skin areas. If the area is an open sore than it should be diluted with water 50/50 in a spray bottle.
To get rid of fleas. (also given orally to prevent them from coming back)
Here are a few sites about ACV and all its benefits.
Jazz woke up one morning and was acting strange, off her regular routine, somewhat lethargic and quiet.
She did eat breakfast so I was not overly concerned but something just wasn’t right.
Later in the afternoon she started shaking so I took her to the vet where she had a full exam that revealed nothing wrong.
The next day she was still not right so I took her to my chiropractor and sure enough her Sacrum (top of butt at base of tail) was out of wack. He gave her an adjustment and she improved.
Later that night she was regressing a bit so went back the next day for another adjustment and she has been great ever since.
If you suspect something is wrong with your dog and the vet can’t find anything get a second opinion or consider a chiropractic exam from a Dr. that is canine certified or a chiropractic vet.
